About DROOL

A social network for what you actually eat — built by one person in Boston.

What this is

DROOL is where you post your food. Not styled, not staged — the sandwich from the place by your office, your mom's lasagna, the thing you ordered because the menu photo looked good. Real plates from real kitchens, posted by real people.

Plates ride past on a conveyor belt, like the counter seat at a sushi bar. See something you want? Flick it up and it lands in your Collection — a running list of everything you're hungry for, and where to get it.

Why there are no scores

DROOL used to be a scoring app. Every dish got rated out of 100, there were ranks to climb, and a leaderboard watched over everything. It worked — but it turned eating into homework, and home cooks felt it most.

So we deleted it. All of it. There are no ratings in DROOL, no rankings, and no number attached to anyone's cooking. There's just food, and whether you want it.

No algorithm, either

Nothing decides what you see based on what keeps you scrolling. The belt serves plates at random, your friends feed shows the people you follow, and that's the whole trick. No ads, no sponsored plates, no engagement bait.

Who makes it

DROOL is built by Normie Labs LLC — which is one person in Boston with a phone full of food photos and a lot of opinions about feeds. Questions, ideas, or a plate you think we need to see? Write to hello@droolscore.com.
