Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026. This policy explains what information DROOL collects, how we use it, and how you can contact us.

1. Information We Collect

When you use DROOL, we may collect information you provide directly, including your username, display name, email address, profile photo, bio, flag or country selection, food photos, dish names, restaurant names, ratings, comments, reports, and messages you send to us through contact forms or support channels.

We may also collect basic technical information automatically, including device information, app usage data, log data, crash reports, performance data, diagnostic information, IP address, and general geographic location derived from IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location unless you explicitly grant permission through your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to provide, operate, maintain, and improve DROOL; create and display user profiles; show food posts and ratings; calculate and display Drool Scores; personalize feeds and app features; prevent spam, abuse, score manipulation, and fraud; respond to support requests; enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines; analyze usage patterns; improve performance; and comply with legal obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand food trends, city-level activity, dish popularity, restaurant score patterns, and general app engagement.

3. User Content & Public Activity

DROOL is a social food app. Content you post, including food photos, dish names, restaurant names, ratings, comments, usernames, profile information, and Drool Scores may be visible to other users and may appear on DROOL websites, restaurant pages, dish pages, city pages, leaderboards, maps, promotional materials, or social previews.

Do not post content that you want to keep private. If you delete your account or request removal of content, we will take reasonable steps to remove or de-identify associated personal information, subject to backup retention, legal obligations, and already-generated aggregated or de-identified data.

4. Location & Restaurant Information

DROOL may use restaurant names, city names, region information, map-related information, or general location information to organize food posts, restaurant pages, dish pages, and city rankings. If precise location features are added or requested, we will ask for permission through your device before collecting precise GPS location.

Restaurant and map information may be based on user submissions, public information, or app-generated pages. We do not guarantee that restaurant names, addresses, scores, menus, or related information are complete, current, or error-free.

5. Advertising, Partnerships & Analytics

Important: DROOL may use aggregated or de-identified data to understand food trends, improve the app, and support future partnerships.

We may share or license aggregated, de-identified information with food brands, restaurants, advertisers, market research partners, or other third parties. This may include food preference trends, rating patterns, cuisine trends, general geographic regions, engagement metrics, device categories, and other information that does not directly identify you.

We do not sell or share your name, email address, precise GPS location, private communications, financial information, or directly identifying account information to advertisers without your consent.

If DROOL introduces sponsored posts, paid partnerships, promoted restaurants, branded challenges, or advertising in the future, we will label sponsored or paid content clearly where required and appropriate.

6. Third-Party Services

DROOL may use third-party service providers to help operate the app and website, including providers for hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, app distribution, email, forms, and security. These providers may process information on our behalf according to their own policies and agreements.

We may also use Apple services, such as Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution, and device-level permissions. Your use of those services may be subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

7. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide DROOL, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, and protect the app from abuse.

You may request account deletion through the app if available or by contacting us at droolscore@gmail.com. After account deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify your account information and associated personal content, unless we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or legitimate business purposes.

Some information may remain in backups for a limited period before being deleted in the ordinary course of backup rotation. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained because it is not intended to identify you personally.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export certain personal information. You may also have the right to opt out of certain uses of personal information, including certain types of targeted advertising or sale/sharing of personal information if applicable.

You can contact us at droolscore@gmail.com to make a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

9. Children's Privacy

DROOL is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including access controls and security practices appropriate for a social app. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method. Your continued use of DROOL after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
