Community Guidelines
Last updated: May 27, 2026. DROOL is for food, fun, honest scores, and competitive judgment without being cruel.
1. The Main Rule
DROOL is a place to post food, rate dishes, discover restaurants, and compete through food scores. Keep the app focused on food. Be funny, be honest, be competitive, but do not harass people or ruin the experience for others.
2. Food Ratings and Criticism
DROOL is built around scoring food, so criticism is allowed. You can say a dish looks amazing, mid, overrated, burnt, messy, or not worth the hype. But ratings and comments should be about the food, presentation, restaurant experience, or dish quality.
- Allowed: “The burger looks dry.”
- Allowed: “This plate is a 62 at best.”
- Not allowed: personal attacks, harassment, threats, slurs, or bullying directed at the person who posted.
3. Respect People
Do not post or comment in a way that attacks someone based on identity, appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or other protected traits. Do not threaten, stalk, shame, or repeatedly target another user.
4. Posting Food
Only post food-related content. This can include homemade meals, restaurant dishes, takeout, snacks, drinks, desserts, food events, and other food experiences. Do not upload content you do not own or have permission to use.
- Do not post graphic, violent, sexual, or unrelated content.
- Do not post private information such as addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or private messages.
- Do not impersonate another person, restaurant, brand, or creator.
5. Restaurant Posts
If you post a restaurant dish, try to use accurate restaurant names, cities, and dish names. Do not intentionally mislabel restaurants, fake locations, or post false claims about a business.
Restaurant pages and city rankings are powered by community posts and scores. Keep them useful by posting real food from real places.
6. No Spam, Fake Ratings, or Manipulation
Do not manipulate Drool Scores, ranks, restaurant pages, or city rankings. This includes fake accounts, rating brigades, paid fake reviews, bot activity, repeated duplicate posts, or coordinated attempts to unfairly boost or hurt a dish, restaurant, or user.
7. Safety and Illegal Content
Do not use DROOL to promote illegal activity, dangerous behavior, scams, self-harm, violence, hate, or exploitation. Do not post content that encourages unsafe food handling in a way that could seriously harm others.
8. Moderation
We may remove content, limit visibility, adjust scores, suspend accounts, or ban users when content or behavior violates these Guidelines, our Terms, or the spirit of the community. We may also remove content that creates legal, safety, spam, or platform-risk issues.
9. Reporting
If you see content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, report it through the app if reporting is available, or email us with details. Include screenshots, usernames, links, restaurant names, or dish names when possible.
